Steamboat Bill - Magazine

Steamboat Bill - Spring 2007 The Steamship Historical Society’s quarterly illustrated journal, Steamboat Bill, has been published continuously since 1940. Each issue of over 80 pages contains original authoritative articles about steamships and other vessels past and present. In addition, there are regular regional and overseas reports about the present-day shipping and cruising scene, lively reviews of the latest and best maritime books, and an advertising section. The “Captains Log” gives members an opportunity to add their own special knowledge to the magazine’s feature stories and regional columns.

The pages are filled with dozens of color, black & white, and sepia-toned photographs.

The Telegraph - Newsletter & Photo Offerings

Our 12 page newsletter, also published quarterly-between the issues of Steamboat Bill, reports on Steamship Historical Society Local & Regional Chapter activities, member news, gives researchers a forum to ask for help and announces national meetings, outings and new publications. Each Telegraph also has a exclusive low-price offering of photographs from negatives in our extensive image collection. Included are steamboats, tugs, liners, ferries, freighters, tankers and more.
